Yahoo! Sales Exec, Joins Freewebs

Silver Spring, Maryland - (Website Hosting Directory) - June 14, 2007 - Web hosting company, Freewebs.com, has named Michael Burke as its new Director of Ad Sales, Central Region, as the firm continues to hire online media advertising executives, in the US and UK technology markets.

Michael Burke,as Director of Ad Sales, will work closely with Chris Cunningham, Freewebs’ VP Advertising, to help drive the company’s advertising and widget sales strategy. Mr. Burke, who is based in Chicago, is a seasoned executive with 10 years experience in sales, strategy development and marketing in new media for companies such as Yahoo! Inc., where he was most recently the Sales Manager for National Accounts, as well as TEK systems.

Freewebs also announced the opening of its UK subsidiary and named JP Kemp as Head of UK Sales. Mr. Kemp has spent the last eight years delivering sales opportunities for companies such as the Telegraph and MediaTel Group. Most recently he was the Head of Agency Sales for Handbag in the UK.
