Wordpress 2.0.7 Released
Many users of the WordPress open source blogging platform had just finished updating to the new version 2.06. Less than two weeks later, WordPress.org announced version 2.0.7. The reasons given for the the back-to-back releases were to “to fix the PHP security problem and the Feedburner issue that was in 2.0.6.” WordPress users are eagerly awaiting the upcoming 2.1 version.
Recently a bug in certain versions of PHP came to our attention that could cause a security vulnerability in your blog. We’re able to work around it fairly easily, so we’ve decided to release 2.0.7 to fix the PHP security problem and the Feedburner issue that was in 2.0.6. It is recommended that everyone running WordPress 2.0.6 or lower upgrade to this new version.
From the digg post:
The said zend_hash_del_key_or_index bug that exists in versions earlier than PHP 4.4.3 or PHP 5.1.4 has been addressed in WP 2.0.7, along with the incorrect headers problem that was causing issues with feeds using Feedburner’s service.
