SecureTrust Corporation Debuts Extended SSL
San Antonio, Texas – (The Hosting News) – January 26, 2007 – Security solutions firm, SecureTrust Corporation, has been chosen by online retailer, French Soaps LTD, to enable it to become the first company to go live with the new Extended Validation (EV) SSL digital certificates from SecureTrust.
EV certificates include a feature that turns the address bar green in Internet Explorer 7 to inform users that a web site is secure and has a valid EV certificate. EV certificates are a new security feature added to Microsoft’s latest web browser. Other browser manufacturers have committed to implement the technology in future versions of their browsers. New EV certificates can be purchased from SecureTrust at a discounted rate of $599 for one year or $899 for two years.
